HTTP/3 and QUIC
HTTP/3 is the first major HTTP version built on UDP instead of TCP, using QUIC as the transport layer.
Why QUIC
- Faster connection establishment: 0-RTT for returning clients
- Built-in encryption: TLS 1.3 is mandatory
- Head-of-line blocking eliminated: one lost packet does not block all streams
Adoption
Most major CDNs and browsers already support HTTP/3. Enable it on your server today — it is a free performance win for users on unreliable networks.
